UPDATE: N1 North near ZZ2 open

Transport media liaison officer Mike Maringa said the N1 North near the ZZ2 farm is now open following an earlier incident. 

Maringa added that the road was closed due to an overturned truck and that no fatalities were recorded.

POLOKWANE – Motorists using the N1 North between Botlokwa and Polokwane are encouraged to use alternative routes due to an incident near the ZZ2 farm.

According to the Citizens Emergency Limpopo group, a vehicle overturned and no injuries have been reported.

Emergency services are on the scene and the road remains closed for now.

Meanwhile, a truck has broken down near Whistling Wind on the R71 before Haenertsburg.

Motorists are urged to drive with caution as the roads are wet.
