Sapa Yopa win big at Sub Riders MCC Rally

POLOKWANE – Members of Sapa Yopa Motorcycle Club MCC rode more than 300km from Polokwane to Nelspruit over the weekend for the annual Sun Riders MCC Rally.

During the weekend mass ride bikers showed off their skills while stunt drivers pushed their abilities to the limit.

Sapa Yopa won the award for the biggest club and the biggest club on motorcycles.

The bikers embarked on the journey from Polokwane to Nelspruit treating other road users to the impressive sight of a mass ride. According to Sapa Yopa founding president, Sarel Nong, the trip went according to plan and everyone had a blast.

“Weekend mass ride activities help bikers from Sapa Yopa MCC get to know each other and it teaches them to work together. Sapa Yopa president Antonio Martins has resigned and the team has no president at the moment. Johz Mamabolo and myself are leading the team until we host the annual general meeting where we will be able to select new executives. We are so glad to have gone to Sun Riders’ annual rally in large numbers and managed to win the two awards. Seeing the members united makes Sapa Yopa all worth it,” said Nong.

He added they get to experience biking with team members, discuss various problem-solving techniques and generate new ideas for rallies.

“We thank each and everyone as well as Sapa Yopa MCC members for their support. We want to build relationships, share, learn with and from each other, as well as make plans for what comes next in biking. The main aim is to establish clear short-term goals and methods to celebrate achievements and milestones,” he said.
