Auto Supreme Polokwane hosts Supreme Sunday SPCA drive

Auto Supreme Polokwane donated 320kg of dog food to the SPCA during their Supreme Sunday event, blending car washes, giveaways, and community spirit.

POLOKWANE – Auto Supreme Polokwane Car Wash hosted their Supreme Sunday SPCA Drive on May 31 in collaboration with different organisations in the city.

Malope Selepe (Auto Supreme Polokwane’s marketing manager) told the Polokwane Observer that the event turned out to be amazing and full of great energy, community support and plenty of clean cars.

The team started the day on a meaningful note by donating 240kg of dog food to the Polokwane SPCA with Westvaal generously adding an additional 80kg shortly after, bringing the total donation to a whopping 320kg.

Micheal Botha (Westvaal/MG) supports the Auto Supreme SPCA food drive.

Throughout the day, Deep Dose kept the energy up with great music, while the braai added that unmistakable South African vibe.

“This was one of our busiest Sunday’s yet with a steady stream of customers coming in for washes, valets and just to enjoy the good food and coffee from our café, The Daily,” Selepe said.

To keep things exciting and more fun, Auto Supreme also ran a giveaway where every car washed, was counted as an entry into their prize draw.

A few lucky customers walked away with some great prizes, which added to the festive feel of the day.

“All in all, this donation drive was more than just a car wash — it was a celebration of community, good vibes, and giving back. We thank everyone who was part of the event and made it possible and a success.”

SPCA team Malose Lebelo and Agnes Swanepoel receive the dog food on behalf of the SPCA.

Selma Landman (Polokwane SPCA manager) told the Observer that they feel honoured to receive the donation and be able to feed the animals in their kennels.

“We received dog food for which we are extremely grateful to the owner, Shawn Shamam Muhajir. Auto Surpreme Polokwane have also offered to assist us with our the body work repairs of our dog trailer and horsebox,” she said.

The SPCA’s famous dog statue Mollie was also placed at Auto Supreme and visitors are encouraged to ‘feed’ her with money.

“She loves notes and coins,” Landman said.

“Thank you for caring for animals and supporting the SPCA. We appreciate every and any donation towards the all the animals that need our help. Without your support, many animals will continue suffering,” Landman concluded.
