Ortloff’s Preparatory showcases excellence at open day event
Parents and learners enjoyed an engaging open day at Ortloff’s Preparatory, which highlighted its holistic approach and future high school plans.
MOKOPANE – Ortloff’s Preparatory School’s open day that was held last Friday was an insightful day enjoyed by prospective learners, parents and teachers.
The open day was an excellent platform for prospective learners and their parents to learn more about the school, and explore what makes Ortloff’s so unique.
Guests toured the facilities, met teachers and learners, and learned more about the school’s curriculum, values and extra offerings.
“Our open day is all about ‘What we say is what we offer’. We are a school with integrity and honour,” said Ayodele Ogundiran, the school’s deputy principal.
“We offer quality education for children from 12 months up to Gr 7, with a strong foundation in literacy, numeracy and life skills. Learners benefit from caring teachers, structured routines, a Christian ethos, and a well-rounded curriculum.”
Ortloff’s sporting code ranges from netball, rugby, soccer to archery. Learners also participate in the ‘Bosveld Kunfees’, Eisteddfod, debating, spelling bees and mathematics competitions.
They are strongly involved in swimming, chess and various other competitions.
“The good news is that we are going to start our high school, starting from Gr 8, in 2026. We will be the first school here to start a technical high school. Our teachers are passionate – working and praying together and sharing the joys and pains. Together with our learners, we are a family school,” Ogundiran concluded.
