POLOKWANE – Heroin with an estimated street value of R50 000 was confiscated during the arrest of a mother and her son in Seshego on Wednesday (September 16).
Provincial Hawks spokesperson Captain Matimba Maluleke said the 63-year-old woman and her 31-year-old son were were arrested by the Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation Unit following a tip-off about the activity at their house.
“The house was identified and searched with the assistance of the Masemola K9 unit. During the search, heroin with an estimated value of R50 000 was found and seized,” he said.
Maluleke said the woman and her son will appear before the Seshego Magistrate’s Court on Monday (September 19) on charges of possession and dealing in drugs.
