No alcohol and drugs if you want to pass Gr 12, MEC tells matriculants

LIMPOPO – Education MEC Mavhungu Lerule-Ramakhanya warned matrics across the province that they must stop abusing alcohol and drugs if they want to pass matric with flying clolours.
“You have to avoid alcohol and drugs and work hard instead. Use your cellphone to Google for educational matters and nothing else as the province is waiting for you to produce good results,” she said.

Lerule-Ramakhanya was joined by stakeholders and parents during the launch of the 2022 matric countdown in Vhembe East’s Mbilwi Secondary School on September 30, 30 days before the start of final examinations.
Learner representatives from five schools in the Sibasa circuit made commitments that they promise to work hard and get 100% pass rate for the schools around Vhembe East.
The MEC said she was hopeful that the Vhembe District, which was known for producing excellent matric results for many years but saw a decline in 2021, would improve on last year’s results.
The countdown is aimed at mobilising all stakeholders, parents and guardians to rally behind the class of 2022 as they start with their preparations for the final examination.

The countdown was preceded by a solidary walk from Sibasa Circuit to Mbilwi Secondary School where Lerule-Ramakhanya addressed the learners.
