Robbers target Woolworths, Mall of the North

POLOKWANE – An armed robbery occurred at Woolworths Mall of the North at around 19:00 this evening.

Even though the police were quick to arrive, the robbers managed to escape prior to their arrival.

Medical personnel also arrived shortly afterwards.

Mall of the North general manager Sumari de Ridder confirmed the robbery, saying it was fortunate that no one was injured.

An official statement would be issued soon, she said.

According to the police’s Colonel Ledwaba, they too will issue a statement in due course.

They have already identified a vehicle and are following up on leads.
