What toll fees will cost to and from Polokwane this long weekend

High traffic volumes are expected on Limpopo's roads from tomorrow as motorists make their way to and from the province for the Easter weekend.

POLOKWANE – Many motorists will be preparing for the long drive between Pretoria and Polokwane and to other parts of Limpopo this long weekend.

Thousands of motorists make use of the N1 on a daily basis and the long weekend is no exception, with high traffic volumes expected between Gauteng and Musina via Polokwane and the R71 between Polokwane and Tzaneen.

The six main toll gates on this route include Nyl, Kranskop, Carousel and Pumulani going south and the Baobab and Capricorn when travelling north.

A round trip from Polokwane to Pretoria will cost R408 while a round trip from Polokwane to Musina will  cost R218.

Heightened visibility of traffic officials has already started as the Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety gears up for the busy Easter weekend.

The department’s Transport Regulation Team has already started with pre-Easter traffic law enforcement roadblocks and speed operations on critical roads across the province to curb infringements and encourage good driver behaviour.
