Help Kids Kingdom spread the warmth this winter

Kids Kingdom Preschool are hosting a blanket and clothes drive in which proceeds will go to local shelters in need and are calling on the community to assist.

POLOKWANE- After doing research in their own community, Kids Kingdom Preschool head Nathalie Nkuna concluded that there is a need at shelters for blankets, as many of the blankets used are either torn, or children have to share blankets.

“Some children even rely on wearing plastic bags or boxes to cover themselves, and for these shelters it’s a difficulty just to have bread to eat, not to even mention being able to take a few rands to buy a blanket. That’s why the school makes it an annual project to host a blanket and clothes drive, to assist children in need,” she said.

Nkuna, who has a passion for working with kids, told Review that as a mother she finds it difficult to see children not having clothes or warmth during winter.

“Let’s keep warm and make a difference in someone’s life, by donating old or new slippers, pyjamas, hats, socks, gloves, blankets or anything warm to the children who are in need of what you already have. Our kids are the future and they deserve all the love, care and support we can give.”

Feel free to drop off your donations at Kids Kingdom Preschool, situated at 137 Wessels street in Bendor.
