Manhunt launched for murder of elderly Mankweng women
A distraught relative discovered the body of the lifeless elderly women who was stabbed with a sharp object.
POLOKWANE – The police in Mankweng is calling on the public to come forward with any information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect(s) involved in the murder of a 97-year-old women on Tuesday.
Police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said the women was murdered at her home Ramogale Village, GaMothapo.
“The police responded to a complaint from a distraught relative who discovered the body of the lifeless elderly women at approximately 07:30 on Tuesday morning,” his statement read.
Ledwaba said preliminary investigations indicate that the victim was stabbed with a sharp object and a case of murder has been opened but the motive behind the incident is still unknown.

“We are treating this case as a top priority and a team of dedicated investigators is actively pursuing all leads to apprehend the perpetrator(s) responsible for this horrendous crime,” Ledwaba said.
