Goseame’s CSI team ploughs back to Judy’s Paradise Centre

Judy's Paradise Centre in Lebowakgomo was named after Sarah Mahlangu's daughter who suffers from cerebral palsy.

POLOKWANE – Giving birth to a child who has a disability can be challenging, and not having the facilities or the means to look after them even more so.

This is what has motivated Sarah Mahlangu to open Judy’s Paradise Centre in Lebowakgomo.

With the slogan, ‘You are not alone’, the centre was named after Mahlangu’s daughter, Judy who suffers from cerebral palsy, and it facilitates more than 83 children who have been diagnosed with the same disease.

The Goseame Open Market CSI team, whose slogan reads ‘Because we care’, along with Sasko visited the centre on Thursday to donate fruit, vegetables, bread, mattresses, stationery, water bottles and a variety of non-perishable food items.

Goseame industrial relations manager and assistant operations manager Manti Malakalaka told BONUS that they heard about the shelter from one of their customers, Johanna Ngoasheng who has a heart to donate to shelters.

“We saw the need at this shelter, and at Goseame we are happy to be able to make a difference by giving back to the community. We recently visited rehabilitation centres to make donations, but we want to emphasise that we donate to various community projects and shelters. We do not discriminate and we do not hold back. Where assistance is needed, we make sure that we visit these places where good is done for the community,” Malakalaka said.

She added that Goseame is there for everyone in the community regardless of background, race or conditions.

“We visit each and every place that needs help, because we care. A huge ‘thank you’ to our customers because when you shop at Goseame, you help us to give back to the community in so many ways. These projects are not possible had it not been for our loyal customers. At Goseame we stand for ubuntu and humanity,” she concluded.
