Limpopo SMMEs receive top awards

The annual ceremony is hosted by Pitjeng and Sons Projects to honour entrepreneurs, farmers and local brands among others.

POLOKWANE – Small, medium and micro businesses (SMMEs) received recognition at the Limpopo SMME Awards and Gala Dinner 2023. This glitz and glamour evening was held at the Polokwane Royal Hotel on October 27.

Clifford Malose Pitjeng (organiser) and Lerato Moganedi, winner of the best baker of the year and best female entrepreneur.

The ceremony is hosted annually by Malose Clifford Pitjeng of Pitjeng and Sons Projects to honour entrepreneurs, farmers, local brands, network marketers, women in construction and community heroes.

“We are recognising their efforts, passion, discipline and hard work at improving and providing entrepreneurial development towards innovative solutions to conceptualise economic programmes to support local economic capabilities,” said Pitjeng.

He extended best wishes to all the winners as well as the nominees.

“The fact that you’re nominated means you’re doing a great job. If you did not win this time, don’t give up.

“Nothing is impossible. Keep working hard and keep networking because your time is coming,” he said.

He urged entrepreneurs to use cooperation, collaboration and communication to better themselves, and improve and develop their entrepreneurial journeys.
