Seshego man arrested for possession of drugs

POLOKWANE – A 33-year-old man was arrested by the police in Mmotong in Seshego for being in possession of drugs to the value of R6 000 last Tuesday.
He was apprehended while in a red sedan, where police discovered three plastic balls containing heroin, concealed under the passenger’s seat.
Shortly after midnight on Friday, also in Mmotong, a 36-year-old man attacked a man with a panga in the street.
The 29-year-old victim was walking when he was approached by the suspect who severally attacked him and then fled the scene, according to police information. The victim was certified dead on the scene.

Meanwhile on Saturday at 16:50, a liquor outlet at Seshego plaza was robbed of an undisclosed amount as the manager was about to close for the day.
“The manager was about to close when one of the customers stayed behind and insisted that he still needed to buy more liquor. The suspect then pointed at the victim with a firearm and demanded money,” preliminary information provided by police showed.
The suspect is still at large.

Between July and September, Seshego Police Station ranked first for theft and assault with the intention to do grievous bodily harm, and second for sexual offences and rape.
