Taxi transporting learners, crashes into tree in Welgelegen

The learners were all taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

POLOKWANE – A minibus taxi transporting learners crashed into a tree on the corner of Diemeer and Du Plesis Street in Welgelegen earlier this morning.

It was confirmed by traffic officials, who opted not to be named, that the scene has in the meantime been cleared. They confirmed that the driver sustained a serious injury while the four passengers who are learners, sustained minor injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment.
