Mall robbery in Lebowakgomo leaves one suspect shot

Employees at a loan shop in a mall in Lebowakgomo were held hostage by a group of robbers during an attempted robbery this morning (March 13).

POLOKWANE – The spokesperson for the Limpopo police Colonel Malesela Ledwaba told the Polokwane Observer that they are still on the scene of a robbery at the Mall at Lebo in Lebowakgomo.

A group of suspects are said to have attempted to rob a loan shop and held employees hostage before three of them were arrested.

One of the suspects was also shot during a shootout with the police

Local media have reported that two other suspects escaped, however, Ledwaba could not confirm at the time of publishing.
