How Maletšema balances being a businesswoman and a mom

Maletšema Bridget Ramokone juggles her job, her foundation Lentswe Laka Foundation and being a mom by relying on God.

POLOKWANE – “It always surprises me how I complete obligations for my job, the gender-based violence advocacy organisation that I have founded, side-hustles and my two very young children – but I do.”

These were words of Maletšema Bridget Ramokone, known widely for being the founder of non-profit organisation Lentswe Laka Foundation (LLF) that is in support of female victims who are often in and out of courts having faced abuse from their partners.

While steering a ship like that can be viewed as a great responsibility that is also mentally and physically taxing, Maletšema sat with the Polokwane Review-Observer in deep wonder of how she succeeds with a seamless flow of life and having so much to deal with.

Speaking to mothers who are struggling to juggle their children, personal growth, a job and other responsibilities, Maletšema said its all about planning.

“I also do not really know. But I plan what the next day should look like before I tuck my children into bed at night and follow the routine strictly,” she explained.

She said her children were a priority before what stood before her. “I must be the last person that they see before they sleep and the first when they wake up, no matter what.”

“I rely greatly on spiritually affirming through prayer and meditation that my day must turn out well,” she said further.

Maletšema said that her belief in God and how He strengthen’s her with regards to being strict with time has helped her daily routine.
