CCM Mayor extends service delivery to rural areas
Maluleke stated that the projects are some of the back-to-basics efforts to ensure the government delivers according to the needs of the people.

LIMPOPO – Collins Chabane Mayor Gezane Shadrack Maluleke handed over 14 projects to residents recently as a part of extending service delivery to rural areas.
Collins Chabane informal traders could not control their emotions as Maluleke officially opened five market stalls for residents as part of accelerating urban renewal.
The market stalls will be used by local informal business owners such as fruit and vegetable vendors, mechanics, food vendors and hair stylists, among others.
The handover ceremony was attended by local traders, the community members and representatives from business forums.
The mayor was joined by members of the executive committee, the political management team, councillors, and officials led by the municipal manager.
Maluleke stated that the projects are some of the back-to-basics efforts to ensure the government delivers according to the needs of the people as expressed in the Integrated Development Plan (IDP).
“As the municipality we have projected our local economic development unit as a key focus for empowering all communities, formal and informal, to make a living and to create jobs and we will continue doing this in all parts of our municipality so that no resident of Collins Chabane goes to bed hungry,” said Maluleke.
He said the municipality is doing well in rendering services to the community of Collins Chabane.
“We handed over 14 major complete projects to the communities of the Collins Chabane Municipality. As a municipality we feel relieved that we can start projects and complete them to benefit our communities. We are fulfilling the mandate of our municipality and are happy that most of our communities, especially rural communities, are taking care of all infrastructure projects which have been built in the communities. We would like to urge our residents to proclaim areas to emulate what our rural communities are doing in terms of avoiding vandalising our infrastructure projects, since the projects belong to them. We hope that the ring roads will make travelling to work and school easier for commuters and that our children and us will continue to do our part to plan, construct, rehabilitate and maintain all our internal roads as the municipality,” he said.
Projects handed over include:
1. New business market stalls.
2. Bus terminals and offices
3. 150 housing electrifications in Malamulele extension B.
4. Rixaka village electrification.
5. Tshivhulana village low level bridge.
