Westenburg Secondary School receives R9000 donation

The Hackers social golf team raised donations for the school recognising its urgent need for tables and chairs in classrooms.

POLOKWANE – In a generous token of appreciation, the Hackers social golf team raised R9 300 to assist Westenburg Secondary School on June 6.

Recognising the urgent need for tables and chairs in the classrooms, the team organised a fundraising initiative through their bi-monthly golf events played against the 6G team on Sundays. After each game, the team donates the proceeds to various charitable causes.

“We hope that the amount we raised helps address the immediate needs of the school. We aim to secure more sponsors for the upcoming 6G against Hackers game to make a greater impact in our communities,” remarked Hackers captain, Francois Hartlief.

Westenburg Secondary School principal Bettie Boom expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the donation. We are humbled by the generosity of the Hackers team. We thank God for people like them who support us and help strengthen our school. We look forward to building a future relationship to achieve our goal of providing the best education for our students,” she said.
