Another pipe leak to impact water supply in Polokwane

This is the second supply interruption this week, leaving scores of residents in Polokwane, Seshego and other areas without water.

POLOKWANE – Lepelle Northern Water (LNW) says it will take up to eight hours to repair leaks on Pumpstation 2 at the Olifantspoort Plant.

Earlier, the Polokwane Municipality reported that the pipe leaks were detected on the Specon pipeline which has necessitated the temporary suspension of operations.

Municipal spokesperson Thipa Selala said LNW informed the municipality that repairs will take long due to “a longer scouring process.”

As a result, the leaks will affect supply to all areas including the city, Seshego and Ga-Chuene.

This is the second supply interruption this week, leaving scores of residents without water.
