Unicorn Riders Rally: 1 500 bikers unite in Limpopo
Over 1 500 bikers gathered at Jaagbaan Lodge for the 4th annual Unicorn Riders Rally, uniting for a charity ride and honouring biking legends in Limpopo.
POLOKWANE – Bike enthusiasts and fans of roaring engines gathered at Jaagbaan Lodge on Saturday for the fourth annual Unicorn Riders Rally, which attracted over 1 500 bikers from as far away as Durban. Locals enjoyed the impressive sight of bikers uniting at Jaagbaan Lodge before setting off on a mass ride to RHK Charity Home, where they donated food parcels and money.
This year’s rally theme, ‘Honouring the Legends in Bakersville’, brought together the biking community with a spirit of unity and purpose. Abram ‘Master P’ Poto, president of Unicorn Riders, expressed his pride in the event’s success.
“We built it, we made it, and it was a blast. Our goal was not just to have an enjoyable rally but to make it meaningful for the people of Limpopo. We’re grateful to everyone and the clubs for their support. Bringing bikers of all races in Limpopo together under one banner was a significant achievement,” he said.
Reflecting on the growth of Unicorn Riders, Poto added, “This is our fourth rally, and we’re thrilled with how it went. It’s heartening to see our club getting widespread support – not only from the biker community but from the public as well. Having more bikers join us each year is wonderful, and we were delighted with this year’s turnout.”
Unicorn Riders currently has over 35 members, though the group has recently focused on quality over quantity.
“We used to have more than 40 members, but we chose to prioritise the quality of our membership and preserve our culture of brotherhood,” Poto explained.
In line with this year’s theme, Unicorn Riders also took the opportunity to honour legends within the biking industry.
“We believe in showing appreciation while people are still with us, and this tribute has been a long-held goal for our club,” he added.
