Polokwane teen (18) receives life-changing wheelchair
Princess Rampedi receives a wheelchair through the efforts of Alive Foundation and Kgaugelong Disability Centre, restoring her mobility.
POLOKWANE – In a heartwarming act of generosity, 18-year-old Princess Rampedi recently received a brand-new wheelchair, thanks to the combined efforts of the Alive Foundation and Kgaugelong Disability Centre.
The donation has brought newfound independence and freedom to Princess, who now has the mobility to live her life with greater ease.
Princess’s mother, Portia Rampedi, expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the life-changing gift.
“This wheelchair has restored my daughter’s mobility and brought immense relief to our family. It fits her perfectly, and we are overjoyed by this thoughtful gesture.”
The collaboration between the Alive Foundation, led by Pastor Joseph Nwokocha, and the centre highlights the power of community unity in addressing the needs of marginalised individuals.
Nwokocha said it is important to support those who cannot care for themselves, and urged others to do the same.
Mokgaetji Hlaka of Lethabo La Rena Foundation describes it as an example of how collective compassion can transform lives.
“Helping people regain mobility and seeing their joy is the only thanks we need,” Hlaka said, reiterating their commitment to assist others in similar need.
