Polokwane gesin benodig fondse vir meisie (3) se tandebehandeling

Die jong Delia Nell se ouers het ‘n plan gemaak om vir haar die nodige behandeling te kry, sodat die skade in haar mond herstel kan word.

POLOKWANE – Terwyl haar maats aan lekkergoed, koekies en ander bederfies smul, moet die driejarige Delia Nell tevrede wees om kapokaartappels, ontbytgraankos en vla te eet.

Delia se tande het reeds voor dit begin uitkom het, onder die tandvleis begin sleg word, en nie soos met ander kinders, deur die tandvleis gebreek nie.

Soos die tande nou wel uitkom, is dit bros en breek dit sodra Delia enige harde kos eet.

Haar ma, Cornelia, het haar na ‘n plaaslike tandarts geneem waar sy ondersoek is.

“Ons het verskeie opsies gehad, en ons het die opsie gekies waarmee haar twee voortande getrek word, en agt van die ander tande, stopsels kry. Die prosedure gaan in die stoel by die tandarts plaasvind en die narkotiseur se rekening moet ook vooraf betaal word.”

Die familie hoop om genoeg geld in te samel om sodoende te verhoed dat Delia later jare gespot sal word as gevolg van haar tande.
