Unconfirmed reports suggest a child was killed during a collision between a bus and a truck on the N1 near Polokwane last night.

Video footage, taken by Khell van der Lith, shows emergency services on the scene of another collision at around 20:00 before the incident occurred.

A truck is seen passing the scene when a bus suddenly collides with the back of the heavy-duty vehicle, causing a loud bang.

The bus then loses control and overturns over a nearby embankment.

The Polokwane Review-Observer is awaiting official comment from the Limpopo Department of Transport.

This is a developing story.
