Lelo Mogaleadi’s innate talent makes her the perfect event hostess

Over the years, Lelo has been proven to be a master in the tough art of making everyone comfortable enough to clap and cheer.

POLOKWANE – Contagious humour and lively conversations briefly describe the event facilitator that is Nomphumelelo Mogaleadi Mahlangu (24).

Known to many as Lelo Mogaleadi, she bests describes herself as a comical radio presenter, having made her debut as a co-presenter of the Ashifa Breakfast Show on Energy FM in 2021 alongside Ashifashabba Muleya and BK Matewe.

Over the years, Lelo has been proven to be a master in the tough art of making everyone comfortable enough to clap and cheer.

She facilitated momentous occasions for popular brands including local and provincial government, Meropa Casino and Entertainment World, The Return of Shebeshxt and women empowerment seminars to name a few.

Lelo Mogaleadi co-directs the programme of The Return of Shebe in Polokwane.

The voice over artist, with her soothing voice and subtle humour has also worked with the South African National Taxi Council among other community-based brands.

Lelo is the perfect fit for corporate events, weddings, parties and music festivals alike during the festive period.

The journey of keeping people informed and entertained was long identified in her, she tells the Polokwane Review-Observer.

“My mother tells this story better than anyone would ever attempt to, because she saw it in me. But as told by her, I was the child to hold the center of any room between the age of four and five already. I wanted to facilitate conversations. It grew on me and launched me into the direction of radio broadcasting,” she explained.

Lelo also has a long standing debate career, rich from her primary school days.

Lelo Mogaleadi co-directed the 2024 Ingoma Awards programme.

She currently adjudicates on several debate tables and the Polokwane Mayor’s Cup is among the latest.

“It is just in me to make laugh but also for me to break the bubble by asking that one question on everyone’s mind or sometimes that is not in anyone’s thoughts – though necessary”.
