4 months on, family still searching for missing Polokwane mother

Police are asking the public to help find Molatelo Malapane (33), who left her Bendor home in Polokwane on June 1 and has not returned.

POLOKWANE – Since June 1, a family in Polokwane has been waiting for a woman who left home that morning and never came back.

Molatelo Nakedi Barbra Malapane (33) left her home in Bendor at about 07:00 without telling anyone where she was going. She is a mother of three.

Few details to go on

Her family has not heard from her since. They have checked with relatives and friends and searched the surrounding areas, but found nothing.

Police say that nothing is known about what she was wearing when she left, which makes it harder for anyone to recognise her.

Where to report information

Police are now asking the public for help.

Anyone who saw Malapane on or after June 1, or who knows where she might be, is asked to contact the investigating officer, Sergeant Mokgadi Molope, on 082 728 9831. Tips can also be given to Crime Stop on 08600 10111, at the nearest police station or through the MySAPSApp.

The police have not said whether any leads have emerged in the four months since she disappeared, but the investigation into her disappearance continues.
