Polokwane prepares for colder days as winter sets in

Good luck getting out of bed as the city enters a cooler phase this week, with crisp and chilly mornings, and mild daytime temperatures.

POLOKWANE – It seems Polokwane has finally checked its calendar and realised it’s winter as the city now braces for an actual drop in temperature. Residents can expect a week of crisp mornings and noticeably cooler temperatures from Friday onwards.

Temperatures will hover in the mid-20s on Monday, offering relatively pleasant conditions and a high of 24°C. Clear skies and plenty of sunshine will set the tone, with daytime highs reaching up to 25°C on Tuesday.

But don’t get too comfortable. By midweek, temperatures start inching down, with Wednesday peaking at 22°C,  followed by a brief relapse into 24°C on Thursday,  accompanied by some hazy sunshine and light breezes.

As the weekend approaches, temperatures will drop further, with Friday and Saturday both peaking at a cooler 19°C. Sunday will see a slight rebound to 20°C, with another day of bright, uninterrupted sunshine expected.

Evening temperatures are expected to range from 2°C to 8°C.
