WATCH: Seshego EFF members return to ANC fold

Two former EFF members from Seshego rejoin ANC, citing poor service delivery and disillusionment with party spending.

POLOKWANE – Former EFF members from Seshego have today signed membership forms returning to the ANC.

Community activist and businessman, George “Ntxotxo” Thembo and Thobane Mohlalogq confirmed their departure from EFF during a last-minute media briefing by the ANC’s regional leadership held at its offices in Polokwane this afternoon.

Peter Mokaba Regional chairperson and city mayor, John Mpe, officiated the signing of oaths, where the two conceded the act was somewhat similar to a biblical reenactment in which the prodigal son returned to humbly apologise to his father for having sinned.

Mohlaloga was among those who actively campaigned for the ANC ahead of their loss to the EFF in Polokwane Municipality’s Ward 13 this week.

Thembo, who is from the area, wrote a heartfelt request to both political parties, expressing sadness over witnessing their members lavishly spending millions of rands on expensive campaign efforts in areas like Juju Valley. Meanwhile, the community suffers from a lack of proper roads, housing, and consistent access to running water, among other essential services.
