Eagle’s Nest boys shine at Bill Stewart Soccer Tournament

Eagle’s Nest Christian School soccer boys represented Limpopo at the Bill Stewart Tournament, with standout performances and top rankings.

POLOKWANE – Eagle’s Nest Christian School soccer boys made the school proud when they recently represented the school and the province at the annual Bill Stewart Soccer Tournament.

The tournament features top provincial teams composed of talented primary school players, providing a highly competitive platform that nurtures skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship from an early age.

Tinotendaishe and Taropafadzaishe Shuro (Eagle’s Nest players) represent the provincial u/13A soccer team at the Bill Stewart Tournament, with the tournament coaches.

Eagle’s Nest soccer players who formed part of the tournament: Pheto Masilela and Luniko Boqwana played for the u/11 and u/12 teams; Rirange Ndou for the u/12 and u/13 teams; Letago Sekgoka and Kgodlene Mphaka for the u/13B team; while twins Tinotendaishe and Taropafadzaishe Shuro formed part of the u/13A team.

Rirange Ndou (Eagle’s Nest players) represents the u/12 and u/13 provincial teams at the Bill Stewart Tournament.

The u/13A team achieved an overall third position and Tinotendaishe was also identified as one of the top 22 players at the tournament.

“We’re proud of our players for placing the school and province on the map. Well done for coming this far in the tournament. Thank you to all the soccer coaches for making sure that the boys practice to their best abilities. ‘And well done to all the other schools that took part in the tournament, representing our province as well,” principal Bertie de Lange said.
