Birdies fly for charity at Polokwane Review Charity Golf Day

There were birdies, bogeys and big hearts as Polokwane Review’s Charity Golf Day swung into action to support SPCA and community charities.

POLOKWANE – The first Polokwane Review Charity Golf Day was held on Friday, with 128 players participating in 32 teams. The atmosphere was festive as businesses supported the cause by entertaining golfers at almost every hole.

The format was a betterball stableford, and big prizes were up for grabs.

The charities that will benefit from the proceeds are the Polokwane SPCA, Lucky Paws Rescue, Bethesda, and Gae Ga Mahlako.

According to the Northern Media Group branch manager, Mario Janse van Rensburg, the support on the day was astounding.

“Without the sponsors and players, this day would not have been possible. Your birdies made giving back easy.”

Lowvelder branch manager Buks Esterhuizen enjoys the day.
