Manhunt underway after burnt body found in Seshego
Seshego police are investigating after the partially burnt body of an unknown man was found near a high school in Extension 75B.

POLOKWANE – Seshego police have launched a manhunt following the discovery of a partially burnt body near a high school in Extension 75B on Monday morning (October 6).
According to Limpopo police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, officers responded to a call about a suspected murder at around 08:00.
“On arrival, they found the body of an unknown African male lying on his back next to the road. The victim had visible facial injuries, and parts of his body appeared to have been set alight. He was dressed in a blue T-shirt with the word ‘Jou‘ printed on the left side of the chest.”
The motive behind the killing remains unclear, and the victim’s identity has not yet been confirmed.
However, initial investigations suggest that the man may have been assaulted and set on fire by community members in a mob justice attack.
Provincial police commissioner, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, warns residents against taking the law into their own hands.
“We urge community members to refrain from acts of vigilantism and to allow the justice system to take its course. Mob justice is a serious crime and will not be tolerated.”
Police are appealing to anyone who may have information that could help identify the deceased or lead to the arrest of those involved to contact Detective Warrant Officer Calvin Magoro on 079 780 3790, the Crime Stop number 08600 10111, or visit the nearest police station. Information can also be shared anonymously via the MySAPS App.
Investigations into the case are ongoing.
