Polokwane is off to a cool start, with a hot weekend ahead

Polokwane begins the week cool and cloudy, but temperatures will rise steadily, reaching the mid-30s for a sunny weekend.

POLOKWANE – Residents can expect a week of changing weather, starting cool and breezy before temperatures rise steadily towards the weekend.

Monday begins on a cooler note at around 17°C, with cloudy skies and a chance of a passing shower or two in the afternoon.

Midweek

By Tuesday, the clouds linger, but the weather remains dry and mild, reaching 20°C.

From Wednesday, conditions improve with plenty of sunshine and a high of 26°C.   The real heat sets in from Thursday, climbing to 30°C, followed by 31°C on Friday.

The weekend

By Saturday, Polokwane will be baking at 32°C, and an even hotter 34°C on Sunday.

After a cloudy start, this week promises plenty of sunshine, so residents should prepare for a return to classic Limpopo heat by the weekend.
