Rain and cooler temperatures on the way for Polokwane

Residents can expect cooler, cloudy days and possible thundershowers in Polokwane throughout the week.

POLOKWANE – After a sweltering weekend, Polokwane residents can expect a cooler, cloudier start to the week, with rain and a noticeable drop in temperature from today.

According to the South African Weather Service (SAWS), there is a 60% chance of scattered showers and thundershowers over the region today (Monday), extending into Tuesday and Wednesday with a 30% chance of isolated showers on both days.

AccuWeather’s forecast shows a significant temperature drop from 32°C on Monday to around 22°C on Tuesday, with maximum temperatures in the low to mid-twenties expected for the remainder of the week.

Considerable cloudiness and partly cloudy skies will dominate throughout the week, while light thundershowers are also expected again on Thursday evening.

Friday will start off cool, with a morning thundershower and a high of 22°C, before temperatures climb slightly to 28°C on Saturday and ease back to 26°C on Sunday.

Low clouds are likely to linger into the weekend, accompanied by occasional evening thundershowers on Sunday.
