Police investigate human skull and remains found near Seshego
The police have opened an inquest after human remains were found buried in a shallow grave at Chebeng Village near Seshego.
POLOKWANE – The Seshego police have opened an inquest docket after the discovery of human remains in Chebeng Village.
The Limpopo police say the discovery was made on Thursday morning (October 30), but was only officially reported to the police on Saturday afternoon (November 1).

The Limpopo police spokesperson Col Malesela Ledwaba says officers were alerted after residents noticed what appeared to be a human skull protruding from the ground.
“Further investigation led to the discovery of a shallow grave where the rest of the skeletal remains were found inside a plastic sack,” Ledwaba’s statement reads.

The body was already beyond recognition, and investigators have since sent the remains for forensic analysis to determine the identity of the deceased and cause of death.
Ledwaba says investigations continue.
