Ntando Radzilani earns top honours at TADA competition

Jabez Christian Academy’s Ntando Radzilani showcased her versatility at the TADA national competition, excelling in Afro, Latin, and Hip Hop.

POLOKWANE – Jabez Christian Academy Gr 10 learner Ntando Radzilani proudly represented both Limpopo and her school when she competed in the All-Style Dance Association (TADA) competition at Veritas School on October 18, going head-to-head with talented dancers from across the country.

Tada is a South African organisation that hosts national and international competitions across various dance styles, giving young dancers the opportunity to showcase their talent on a professional platform.

Ntando’s love for dancing began at the age of four at Pulse Dance Studio in Pretoria.

“Over time, my love for dance grew as I practised and learned a variety of styles,” she recalled.

When her family moved to Polokwane in 2014, Ntando joined Vida Dance, where she met her mentor and teacher, Megan Henning.

“Through her guidance and motivation, she has pushed and challenged me in so many ways, giving me tips, helping me whenever I got stuck, and always encouraging me to grow,” said Ntando.

Henning gave her the opportunity to perform alongside more advanced dancers, which helped refine her skills and build her confidence.

“This included participating in a range of competitions from 2018 to 2025,” Ntando added.

“All my achievements would have not been possible without the Almighty God as He is the one who gave me this talent, and I’m beyond grateful for it. I would like to thank my mom, Tshepiso and my brother Mboni for their support, our school principal Elana Erasmus and the school staff for their prayers and guidance throughout, as well as my dance school instructors.”

Erasmus expressed how proud the school is: “We’re beyond humbled and proud of Ntando, and on how she used her God-given talent to shine her light for Jesus on that big stage.”

Anne Mametja

My name is Anne Mametja. I am a mom of four and an identical twin. With a passion for media, I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Media and Television Production in 2012 and due to my love for children, I also hold a certificate in Nursing Auxiliary. As media is my first love, I started working at the Polokwane Review as a journalist in 2017 and it has been amazing thus far. I love journalism because I can be a voice to the community through my work. Journalism allows me to meet different people at the events I attend. Although there are certain beats that journalists stick to, being an all-rounder means I write community, schools, sports, hard, lifestyle and entertainment news. It also allows me to be versatile in the newsroom and assist where I can. ‘Journalism can never be silent, that is its greatest virtue and its greatest fault.’
