Teen (18) arrested after fatal stabbing in Seshego

An 18-year-old was arrested after a 31-year-old was fatally stabbed in Makgofe outside Seshego, with the motive still under investigation.

POLOKWANE – An 18-year-old is expected to appear before the Seshego Magistrate’s Court on Monday, November 10, after a 31-year-old man was fatally stabbed in Makgofe, outside Seshego.

Limpopo police spokesperson, Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, says the incident occurred on Friday afternoon (November 7).

“According to preliminary reports, the victim was attacked with a sharp object and stabbed in the upper body along a tarred road near a local supermarket. Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and declared the victim dead. The motive for the killing is still unclear, and police investigations remain underway.”

The suspect was tracked down and arrested shortly after through a coordinated effort by Seshego Detectives and Crime Prevention members.

He is due to appear in court on Monday, facing a charge of murder.
