Bendor High School opens doors to learners

Bendor High School has officially opened, welcoming its first learners as education officials and parents marked the start of the school’s inaugural wee

POLOKWANE – Bendor High School officially opened its gates on January 19, marking the start of its first school week.

The event saw Education head of department Maropene Seshibe in attendance, who welcomed the school governing body, teachers, learners and parents to the new institution.

Seshibe expressed optimism about the school’s future and encouraged collaboration among all stakeholders.

“This school has great potential, and with the support of the community, I am confident it will grow into a centre of excellence that will shape the future of our learners in the province,” he said.

Bendor High School teachers Refilwe Malatji, Thuto Chauke, Modike Makosha, principal Thabiso Mathipa, Emelia Thoka and Azania Buys.

The school currently has 212 learners and is still accepting more. Uniforms can be purchased on site, and the Oost Street gate is being used as the main entrance temporarily.

Principal Thabiso Mathipa highlighted the strong support from parents, with some having paid school fees for the full year.

“We are grateful for the trust parents have shown in us. Our focus now is to work hard, support our learners and lay a strong foundation for academic excellence,” he said.
