Former Noorderland High School alum returns to motivate, inspire learners

Former learner Pfunzo Phosiwa revisited Noorderland High School to motivate learners with lessons on choices, growth and finding purpose.

POLOKWANE – Former Noorderland High School learner Pfunzo Phosiwa returned to his alma mater on February 9 to motivate learners.

Phosiwa, now director at Phosiwa Attorneys, took a trip down memory lane as he shared his journey since graduating.

“I studied medicine, then transitioned to music as a full-time musician, and eventually found my calling in law,” he said, reflecting on a path of self-discovery that led him to establish his own legal practice.

Recalling a humorous moment from his matric finals, Phosiwa told learners how he accidentally left his shoes in his parents’ car and had to sit the exam in flip-flops, a memory that still makes him smile.

Addressing learners, he spoke of the importance of choices in shaping their future.

“Life is full of crossroads. The decisions you make now, about your studies, your friends, your habits, will either open doors for you or close them.

“The choices we make, make us,” he said, urging learners to be mindful as they build the foundation for their future.
