N1 toll fees increase from March

Motorists travelling on the N1 between Limpopo and Gauteng will pay higher fees from March, with increases confirmed for several toll gates.

LIMPOPO – Motorists travelling on the N1 between Musina and Pretoria will pay more at toll gates from March 1, following an increase in toll fees for light vehicles.

The updated tariffs affect several toll plazas along the route, with adjustments ranging from 50c to R2.50.

Increases are as follows:

  • At the Baobab toll gate, fees will increase from R60 to R61.50
  • Motorists passing through Capricorn will now pay R63.50, up from R62
  • The Nyl toll gate sees one of the higher hikes, rising from R77 to R79.50
  • Fees at Kranskop will increase from R60 to R61.50
  • The Carousel toll gate will rise from R73 to R75
  • Motorists using the Pumulani toll gate will pay R16.50, up from R16
