Polokwane gets a hot start to the week before cooler conditions

This week, Accuweather predicts a transition from hot and mostly dry conditions to cooler, cloudier weather with intermittent showers into the weekend.

POLOKWANE – Residents can expect a warm start to the week, followed by slightly cooler conditions and an increased chance of showers as the weekend approaches.

Polokwane will see a partly cloudy Monday with low clouds in the morning, clearing to allow some sunshine later in the day. Temperatures are expected to peak at around 30°C, with a mild evening.

Conditions turn hotter on Tuesday, with a mix of sun and clouds pushing daytime temperatures up to about 33°C, making it the warmest day of the week.

Wednesday remains warm at around 30°C, although skies will be mostly cloudy throughout the day.

By Thursday, a noticeable change sets in, with cooler weather and cloudy conditions. Widely scattered morning thundershowers are expected, and maximum temperatures will drop to around 26°C.

Friday continues the trend with mostly cloudy skies and the chance of isolated thunderstorms. Temperatures will recover slightly, reaching about 28°C.

The weekend brings more variable conditions. Saturday is forecast to be cooler at around 26°C, with intervals of cloud and sunshine and a couple of showers possible.

Sunday will be warmer again, with partly sunny skies and a chance of a thunderstorm in places, as temperatures climb to approximately 29°C.
