Polokwane faces humid, stormy week

Polokwane can expect a warm week with scattered thunderstorms, high humidity and fluctuating sunshine, cooling towards the weekend.

POLOKWANE –  Polokwane is set for a warm but unsettled week, with scattered thunderstorms, high humidity and fluctuating sunshine expected over the next few days.

The week begins on Monday with mostly cloudy conditions and a couple of thunderstorms developing during the afternoon. Temperatures are expected to peak at around 28°C.

Tuesday brings a brief improvement, with a mix of sunshine and clouds and slightly cooler conditions. Temperatures are expected to reach about 25°C.

Low cloud cover will dominate early on Wednesday before giving way to some sunshine later in the day. Temperatures will climb to around 27°C, remaining warm and humid, with lighter winds.

By Thursday, overcast conditions are expected in the morning, with isolated thunderstorms possible. Skies should clear somewhat in the afternoon, allowing for partial sunshine and a high of about 27°C.

Friday and Saturday are likely to remain mostly cloudy and humid, with widely scattered morning thunderstorms. Daytime temperatures will range between 25°C and 27°C, respectively.

The weekend ends on a cooler note on Sunday, when a morning thunderstorm is possible, followed by considerable cloudiness for the rest of the day. The maximum temperature is expected to drop to around 22°C.
