Eagle’s Nest sends best wishes to athletes competing at provincial athletics event

Eagle's Nest athletes will represent their school on March 6 at provincial level. They will show their skills to represent the province.

POLOKWANE – The Eagle’s Nest Christian School community is buzzing with excitement as seven talented learner athletes prepare to represent the school at the upcoming provincial athletics event.

The competition will take place at the University of Limpopo on March 6 (Friday), and the school’s primary principal, Bertie de Lange, extends his best wishes to the team.

“The athletes, who have worked tirelessly to earn their spots, are confident and ready to give it their all,” De Lange said.

The team includes Luniko Boqwana, who has already secured impressive positions in the 150m hurdles (2nd place), long jump (1st place), and 75m hurdles (2nd place).

Other athletes to watch out for include Jigatt Sibanda, who took 3rd place in the high jump; Atlegang Mathole, who came 3rd in the 80m; Shekina Ngairongwe, who secured 2nd place in the 75m hurdles; Mpho Ratshipaledza, who took 2nd place in the high jump, as well as Reshegofetse Rabodiba, who earned 3rd place in the 200m hurdles.

The team is rounded out by Modjadji Modjela, who won the 75m hurdles race.

“We are incredibly proud of our athletes and the hard work they’ve put in. We wish them all the best as they compete at the provincial event and look forward to seeing them shine on the day.”

The school community is rallying behind the team, offering support and encouragement as they head into the competition. “With their talent, dedication, and spirit, the Eagle’s Nest Christian School athletes are sure to make a mark at the University of Limpopo.”
