The young ones arrived at school dressed in bunny outfits and headbands, while some had their faces painted as bunnies to match the theme.

The celebration created a playful atmosphere as the pre-schoolers took part in the hunt, searching for hidden treats around the playground.

Adding to the excitement, a big bunny mascot handed out Easter eggs to the young learners as part of the day’s celebrations.

Principal Leonné Herrendoërfer said the event was both enjoyable and beneficial for the little ones.

“Events like these are not only fun for the children, but they also play an important role in their development.

“Activities like dressing up, socialising and participating in themed games help to build confidence and creativity, and a sense of community.”

In a similar celebration, learners at another local school also marked Easter with festive activities.
