POLOKWANE – Allen Segoale, affectionately known as ‘Allen Winner’ from his social media content, recently won Best Sepedi Content Creator/Influencer during the Thobela FM Music Awards 2026 at Meropa Casino and Entertainment World.

From Seshego to social media success

Originally from Seshego, ‘Allen Winner’, who is also a dad to a two-year-old little girl, shared with BONUS that he was optimistic and confident of the award because he knows his supporters definitely voted for him.

“What inspired me to start creating content with a touch of a sense of humour, are the type of challenges people go through and face daily. I felt that sharing my knowledge with everyone would be beneficial for them,” he said.

Winning through consistency and originality

He added that his favourite moment in his career was winning an award as he felt it shows and portrays a result of consistency that his content creating is indeed worth watching.

“The secret to success as a content creator is in the originality, to be original and to be yourself at all times. My advice to aspring content creators is to not copy what others do, be creative.”

He added that to keep producing high-quality content, he always stays motivated because he loves what he does, and he’s also passionate, therefore high quality content will be organic.

Message on respect and positivity

Creating content that usually favours women and always sharing positive comments about women, ‘Allen Winner’ further explained that all women are like ‘oxygen’ to him.

“I believe that women deserve to be respected and appreciated in general.”

He added that winning this award has positively impacted his brand, and this is just the beginning of the winning journey.

“Through my years of content creating, I’ve also learned that people choose what they want.

“Instead of forcing people to love you, at least just allow them to like you through what you love doing.”

Simple style and big impact

‘Allen Winner’ added that he made his content to be simple, direct and controversial with less scenes and plannings.

“My wish is for men and women to understand that we’re in this life together not to compete with one another, but to build one another.”

He also MCs at festivals and other events in and out of the province.

Also known for his favourite phrases; ‘Replace or Rrrrrplace’, ‘Allen Winner’ dedicates the award to all his fans, as well as everyone who has supported him throughout his career.

My name is Anne Mametja. I am a mom of four and an identical twin. With a passion for media, I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Media and Television Production in 2012 and due to my love for children, I also hold a certificate in Nursing Auxiliary. As media is my first love, I started working at the Polokwane Review as a journalist in 2017 and it has been amazing thus far. I love journalism because I can be a voice to the community through my work. Journalism allows me to meet different people at the events I attend. Although there are certain beats that journalists stick to, being an all-rounder means I write community, schools, sports, hard, lifestyle and entertainment news. It also allows me to be versatile in the newsroom and assist where I can. ‘Journalism can never be silent, that is its greatest virtue and its greatest fault.’
