Louis Trichardt entrepreneur eyes chilli sauce market

Nzhelele entrepreneur Rudzani Raphalalani is building a chilli sauce brand while promoting agro-processing and job creation in Limpopo.

LIMPOPO – Rudzani Raphalalani, a driven young entrepreneur from Nzhelele Biaba near Louis Trichardt, is making his mark in the agro-processing industry as the owner of The Divined Chilli Farm.

Passion for chillies and agro-processing

With a long-standing passion for entrepreneurship, Raphalalani has channelled his interest into building a business that specialises in agro-processing, producing a variety of food condiments including chilli sauces and peri-peri powder.

Skills and business vision

He holds a diploma in marketing management from Capricorn TVET College and brings solid experience in both farming and chilli production.

Raphalalani believes chilli peppers are among the most widely consumed vegetables globally, and he has set ambitious goals for his brand.

“My goal is to be among the top five brands in the hot sauce industry in South Africa.

“We have plans to acquire the best equipment for a standard production facility, and we prioritise hygiene, packaging, and quality to ensure we remain competitive.”

Plans for growth and expansion

Confident that demand for hot sauces will continue to grow, he plans to expand into various markets and eventually open retail outlets in major cities.

He attributes his brand’s strength to the unique taste of its products.

“We will hold ourselves to the highest standards and ensure we meet our customers’ needs precisely,” he added.

Empowering his community

Raphalalani said his business aims not only to generate profit but also to make a meaningful impact.

“My mission is to provide accessible, affordable, high-quality products while creating jobs and improving livelihoods in our community.

“I also want to encourage young people to venture into farming and offer mentorship to those interested in agro-processing.”

Future ambitions

Looking ahead, he hopes to increase the number of agro-processing businesses in the country and position the label as a leading brand locally and internationally.
