Limpopo Health MEC to unveil 61 new mobile clinics

Limpopo MEC for Health will unveil 61 new mobile clinic vehicles today, aimed at improving healthcare access in remote communities.

LIMPOPO – MEC for Health Dieketseng Mashego is set to unveil a fleet of 61 new mobile clinic vehicles today as part of efforts to improve access to healthcare services across the province.

The unveiling forms part of the provincial government’s ongoing drive to strengthen primary healthcare, particularly in remote and underserved communities where residents often face challenges accessing fixed health facilities.

According to the Department of Health, the rollout marks the first phase of a broader programme aimed at overhauling and strengthening mobile healthcare services in Limpopo.

The department said the additional vehicles are expected to improve the reach and efficiency of healthcare services, ensuring that more residents have access to medical care closer to where they live.
