Limpopo insurance murders: State seeks to reopen case after alleged threats
In the R10m insurance murders trial, the State wants to reopen the case against accused number six over alleged threats against witnesses.
POLOKWANE – The 10 million insurance fraud court case continued in the Polokwane Regional Court today, with the State asking to reopen the case against one of the accused.
The State’s application concerns William Shokane, accused number six, after he was allegedly heard telling his spouse, Phuthi Moabelo, that “I will be out and everyone will pay.”
State alleges threat against witnesses
The prosecutor told the court that the applicant was threatening one of the accused and that the State wants to determine whether the applicant harbours any resentment against witnesses in the case.
Defence requests consultation
The Defence asked the court for time to speak with its client and discuss the matter.
Court will proceed at 2:00 PM.
