Polokwane weather: Warm, sunny week ahead before a cooler Sunday

Sunny skies and light winds dominate Polokwane this week, with highs reaching 26°C midweek before a cooler snap drops Sunday's high to 18°C.

POLOKWANE – Warm, sunny weather is expected to dominate the week, with little chance of rain and daytime temperatures climbing into the mid-20s before a brief cool-down on Sunday.

The week begins with hazy sunshine on Monday, with a high of 21°C and a cold overnight low of 4°C.

Temperatures rise to 24°C on Tuesday under similar conditions before peaking at 26°C on Wednesday and Thursday, when plenty of sunshine and light winds will make for ideal winter days.

Friday remains warm with abundant sunshine and a high of 25°C, while Saturday is expected to be another pleasant day with temperatures again reaching 25°C.

A cooler change is forecast for Sunday, with the mercury dropping to 18°C under hazy sunshine. Overnight temperatures will fall to around 2°C, making it the coldest morning of the forecast period.

Conditions improve again on Monday, with mostly sunny skies and temperatures recovering to a comfortable 21°C.

While the afternoons will be warm and pleasant, mornings and evenings will still have a definite winter chill, so it’s worth keeping a jacket handy if you’re heading out early or staying out after sunset.
