Police launch manhunt following murder of man(30) in the Sekhukhune district.

LIMPOPO – Police in Sekhukhune have launched a manhunt for an unknown assailant following the murder of a 30-year-old man at Makgane village.

According to preliminary investigations, the victim had attended an initiation school celebration during the early hours of Sunday, July 19, when he was allegedly assaulted with an axe while returning home.

Victim succumbs to injuries

The victim was later taken to hospital on July 20 and subsequently transferred to Mankweng Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on Friday, July 24.

The incident was only reported to the police on Monday, July 27, and a murder investigation was subsequently initiated.

The motive for the attack remains unknown, and no arrests have been made.
