LIMPOPO – Motorists travelling between Mokopane and Polokwane are urged to use an alternative route following a serious motor vehicle crash on the N1 on Sunday (September 20).

The N1 north-to-south carriageway is closed approximately 4km before Mokopane, near Ysterberg in the Waterberg District, with traffic in the area heavily affected.

Traffic in the area is heavily congested, with significant delays expected while emergency services and law enforcement attend to the scene.

R101 advised as alternative route

Motorists travelling between Mokopane and Polokwane are advised to use the R101 as an alternative route until the N1 has been cleared and reopened.
