D1296 near Mangabane reopens after truck incident
The D1296 between the R555 and R37 is open again after an incident involving two trucks and a combi, in which a truck driver and a passenger were injured.
LIMPOPO – The D1296 between the R555 and R37 via Mangabane has reopened to traffic after being closed on Sunday following an incident involving two trucks and a combi.
The driver of one of the trucks and a passenger were injured, according to the Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety. No fatalities were reported.

Recovery team clears the road
The department said the road was closed temporarily so a recovery team could attend to the scene and safely remove a truck from the roadway.
The recovery was completed today, and the road has been reopened.
Extra care urged on the road
The department urged motorists to take extra care, obey the rules of the road and plan their journeys accordingly. It also advised against unnecessary speeding and overtaking in unsafe places.
Motorists were reminded not to drink and drive, to rest when they feel tired and to avoid reckless driving.
The department stressed that road safety is a shared responsibility.
